Cloud Server for Lovion
The Lovion APPLICATION SERVER provides the back-end for web-based components of Lovion BIS. As a cloud .NET Application, the Lovion APPLICATION SERVER uses the newest technologies and offers a scalable, safe and easy implementation of the solution.
The core technology .NET for the Lovion APPLICATION SERVER offers a safe and efficient implementation on premises and in the cloud. An http/2 protocol as well as grpc are used for the encrypted communication. Furthermore, a ready-to-use configuration for the use of the Microsoft Azure Cloud including load distribution and scalability settings can be implemented quickly and easily to make a Lovion installation available in the cloud.
A multilevel system operation, surveillance, rate limiting (flood protection) as well as security checks provide a secure and scalable solution.
Depending on customer requirements and their environment, the Lovion APPLICATION SERVER can be operated on premises as well as in the cloud. The Lovion APPLICATION SERVER is ready to use in both scenarios and can easily be implemented on premises or in the cloud.
IT systems are constantly monitored to ensure a robust system operation. The Lovion APPLICATION SERVER can easily be monitored using standard monitoring features and is thus able to prematurely and proactively react to possible problems.
Intraday synchronisation between mobile and back-office devices
This module is implemented on mobile devices and is responsible for updating graphic and attribute data in the local Lovion repository as well as for transmitting mobile data modifications such as attribute data, sketches, surveys, task data or notifications. The synchronisation process can either be initiated manually by the user or automatically as a service. In this case, the data synchronisation happens automatically as soon as the device is connected to the company network.
Mobile data is used for notebooks or workstations that are not always connected to the Lovion server. Initially, all data can be transmitted using the Lovion SYNC SERVER. Thereafter, only data modifications are synchronised. In addition, synchronising with the Lovion SYNC SERVER is also possible through a mobile network. In this case, the device is connected to the server using a mobile network. This can become necessary in certain cases, for instance when outage tasks immediately need to be transmitted to an on-site technician.
The Lovion Web Application Server (LWAS) uses .NET as a core technology. This offers a secure and efficient implementation on premises or in the cloud. The http/2 protocol with „Transport Layer Security“ (TLS) including grpc is used for encrypted communication.
Data storage corresponds to data storage in Lovion BIS. Microsoft SQL Server is usually used for relational databases. Alternatively, Oracle database can be implemented. XML configurations and other files are stored in standard file servers.
The front-end is based on a single page application (SPA), which is implemented using HTML5, CSS and ECMAScript (Javascript). The design is responsive, meaning that it adjusts to various resolutions. The portal supports current browser versions such as Google Chrome, Apple Safari, Mozilla Firefox and Microsoft Edge.
Publically available installations are usually secured in a DMZ.
