Overview

The approval process for technicians is carried out completely digitally in Lovion INSTALLER. The module is also used to manage specialist companies and specialists. From the application process to long-term monitoring and checking ID validity, appropriate user interfaces are provided. The solution also enables direct communication with contractors is via the internet and the Lovion INSTALLER PORTAL.

Legal Basis

The Lovion INSTALLER data model was developed based on specifications by the German Federal Association for Energy and Water (BDEW) and the State Association for Technicians in the Utility Sector (LIA). These institutions specify how specialized utility companies and technicians have to be approved for certain fields of work in the utility sector and their required qualifications.

License Application

The Lovion INSTALLER PORTAL is a browser-based software solution that supports the application process for service providers to be registered in the directory for installation technicians. Applicants can enter all required information and upload documents via the digital application form. They can also pause and save the registration process at any given time, for example, if information is missing. Once the form and all information is completed, applicants can send the application.

Application Verification

The back office component of Lovion INSTALLER supports all process steps required for licensing specialist installation companies and installation technicians. It allows applications to be viewed and processed quickly. All information regarding the application is presented in a clearly structured window.

Communication

Communication between the applicant and reviewer is quick and transparent via the Lovion INSTALLER PORTAL and information as well as documents can be exchanged easily. Furthermore, chat messages can also be exchanged using Lovion’s integrated messanger service. Applicants automatically receive an email notification when a new message is available.

Correcting Errors

If application reviewers identify errors or missing information regarding the application, they can report these as errors. As a result, applicants receive notifications about their errors and can correct them in the portal. In the meantime, the processing status remains visible for all involved parties at all times.

Workshop Inspections

If a workshop inspection is required as part of the approval process, an appointment can be made via the web portal. The person performing the inspection can document the results and, if necessary, create a list with deficiencies for the company to correct.

Approval

In the final step of the application process, the reviewer can grant or deny the licensing of the installation company or technician. If approval is granted, the installation technician is automatically added to the directory for installation technicians. Furthermore, ID and license documents can be created using Lovion OFFICE CONNECT.

License Validity

The license is only valid for a certain period of time and expires if the installation company or installation technicican does not renew it. Customizable filtering options are available in the user interface to manage all licenses. This means that renewal applications can be processed quickly and efficiently for all parties.

Gas Installation Technicians

The registration process for a gas installation technician can also be processed through the portal. The gas technician has to use a digital form to submit their data, in particular their ID number, as well as a copy of their ID. The approval process or error notification is then carried out identically to the steps above.
