The core process asset management is fully integrated into the Lovion platform. It is based on ISO 55000 standards. Technical and business data is used to transparently evaluate and prioritize the risk assessment of asset groups. Aging models and damage forecasts are incorporated into comprehensive analyses and strategy simulations for medium and long-term projections. Different strategy types are used for different asset management objectives. They support transparent decision-making to reach grid targets.
Lovion RATING is the central module for asset management where assets and relevant data are managed. Equipment and equipment groups are assessed based on configurable models that take into account the condition and significance of assets. Evaluated equipment is displayed and prioritized in a Reliability Centered Maintenance (RCM) diagram. Measures can be derived for high priority equipment, e.g. by specifying an upper budget limit.
Lovion RATING AGING complements the Lovion RATING module through the use of aging models and deriving damage functions. In aging modeling, asset-relevant data, in particular damages and conditions, are used to determine an aging function (according to Prof. Herz or Weibull) for assets or asset classes. As a result, aging-related metrics such as age index, damage prediction, and remaining useful life can be calculated.
Lovion LIFECYCLE is used to calculate strategy simulations based on long-term forecasts. In addition to technical evaluations based on these calculation models, business aspects (CAPEX/OPEX optimization) are also included in the analysis. The goal of the long-term analysis is to develop a strategic target grid plan, which is stored in the system as a basis for short- and medium-term economic planning.
The smooth integration with other Lovion process modules for planning, construction and budgeting clearly differentiates this solution from other classic stand-alone products. Measures for asset management can be directly implemented in Lovion PROJECT. By linking these measures with evaluated assets, the decision making process is always transparent and comprehensible.
Integrated asset management also provides significant benefits for grid operations. Evaluation results can directly influence maintenance planning in Lovion WORK, enabling risk-based or quality-based maintenance planning. As damages play a central role in asset evaluations, it is also very useful to have this information available at all times.
Although most data for asset evaluations is already available in the Lovion system, flexible interfaces are essential to import additional data. This is helpful for assets that are not documented yet or if additional asset information is required. The Lovion CONNECT SUITE offers a large number of configurable interfaces for accessing further data.
