ASSET SUPPLY

Directory for Supply and Consumer Plants

Overview

Lovion ASSET SUPPLY is used to manage decentralised plants in a supply and consumer directory. Next to classic electricity supply feeds, it is also possible to document electricity consumption and storage facilities which are obligatory for registration. In addition, the data model also offers feature classes for editing gas plants.

Decentralised Power Generation

In the standard Lovion ASSET SUPPLY data model it is possible to document the following decentralised power supply feeds:

  • Biomass plants
  • Photovoltaic plants
  • Ready to plug in generation plants
  • Cogeneration (CHP)
  • Hydropower plants
  • Wind energy

Plants obligatory for registration

Next to decentralised power generation, consumption plants and storage facilities also play a vital role for grid stability. Thus, Lovion ASSET SUPPLY also offers tools for documenting charging stations for electric vehicles and battery storage facilities. These are obligatory for registration and can be registered via the Lovion ASSET PORTAL.

Decentralised Gas Plants

Decentralised plants are also installed in the gas grid. In order to fully document and organise this process, Lovion ASSET SUPPLY is available to manage the following types of plants:

  • Gas generation plants
  • Gas storage
  • Gas consumption plant

Data Model

The Lovion ASSET SUPPLY data model has a hierarchical structure and depicts assets in their parent-child relationship. Each plant is based on a technical location and includes individual contact and address information.

Point symbols are positioned in the map to display technical locations and plants. Using different symbology, plants are depicted according to their specific characteristics. These symbols can be made visible or invisible in the map by acitivating or deactivating certain layers. It is also possible to navigate to specific locations based on their geographic position.

Data Editing

When creating a new plant in Lovion ASSET SUPPLY, an id number is automatically generated. This plant id consists of the current year followed by a conscecutive number.

Creating and editing plant data is possible using standard and efficient data editing tools in Lovion. A copy and paste function is available and can help to efficiently and quickly edit data in conjunction with a pre-configured catalogues. Furthermore, these catalogues can be modified in their configuration to meet customer requirements.

Plant Status and Dates

For transparent plant management in Lovion ASSET SUPPLY, a uniform status model is defined for all technical plant types. The status “in planning”, “in operation”, “out of operation” and “decommissioned” are predefined status types available in a drop-down list in the asset. A status change can be logged by users.

For specific plant types in Lovion ASSET SUPPLY, it is also possible to document dates of submitted applications, approvals, commissioning and decommissioning. It is also possible to automatically import dates from the grid connection process to ensure continuity.

Legal Framework

Different legal requirements apply for different plant types in Lovion ASSET SUPPLY. These have to be taken into account during the documentation. Some of these include the following aspects:

  • Plants with direct marketing
  • Plants with renewable energy grants
  • Plants with levies based on the renewable energy source act
  • Plants with KWKG (German: Kraft-Wärme-Kopplungsgesetz) grants
  • Plants registered at the German grid agency BNetzA (German: Bundesnetzagentur)
  • Plants with approval from the German department of the economy and exports BAFA (German: Bundesamt für Wirtschaft und Ausfuhrkontrolle)

Documents and Reports

Usually, numerous documents are included in the plant documentation. By integrating Lovion DOCUMENTS with Lovion ASSET SUPPLY, documents are stored transparently and in a orderly structure in a central location.

When it comes to plant management, creating reports, letters and evaluations is vital. This is possible in Lovion by integrating Microsoft Office Products. As a result, flexibly configurable Word or Excel documents are created automatically.

Market Registry MaStR (German: Marktstammdatenregister)

In the context of decentralised energy supply, automatically matching a grid operator’s plant registry with the central market registry MaStR (German: Marktstammdatenregister) of the German federal grid agency BNetzA (German: Bundesnetzagentur) is increasingly gaining importance. The module Lovion ASSET SUPPLY provides a data model that supports this data exchange, for example via web services. BNetzA web services are not included in the standard Lovion CONSUMER SUPPLY delivery, but can be implemented based on customer-specific requirements.

End-to-end Applications Process

In order to fully support the end-to-end process of decentralised grid connections, it is possible to combine the modules Lovion CONSUMER and Lovion ASSET SUPPLY. By linking these two solutions, decentralised energy supply plants can be created directly in the plant registry in Lovion ASSET SUPPLY based on the application data and approval process in Lovion CONSUMER (including the Lovion CONSUMER PORTAL). Furthermore, it is also possible to automatically retrieve information from the application in Lovion CONSUMER. As a result, the workflow remains fluid without any breaks caused by additional interfaces. This in return improves the overall efficiency and simplifies working with the market registry.
