SERVICING | MAINTENANCE

For Utility Grids and Plants

Overview

Planned and unplanned maintenance and servicing measures are supported through various Lovion modules. Asset data, either from the Lovion ASSET data models or external systems such as GIS or ERP lay the groundwork for any maintenance and servicing work. These are subdivided into back-office components for work preparation as well as on-site operations on mobile devices. For gas pipeline inspections, an separate product is available.

Work Management

Lovion WORK, Lovion DISPATCH and Lovion TASK are the core modules for work management, dispatching and executing tasks. They offer an end-to-end workflow for maintenance and servicing work, which is described in more detail on the Lovion work management site. Mobile tasks can be executed in the Lovion TASK APP which is compatible with Android and iOS Smartphones and tablets. External service providers can view and execute tasks via the Lovion PORTAL App.

Executing Tasks based on current Rules and Regulations

Various rules and regulations are in place for operating utility grids and plants. Sector-specific Lovion ASSET products offer a specialised data model for documenting assets as well as to carry out maintenance and servicing tasks where these rules and regulations are applied. These legal requirements and specifications are also available in the section “Rules and Regulations”.

MONITOR

Managing Asset Conditions

Lovion MONITOR is the central module for managing and documenting asset conditions. Furthermore, damages, defects as well as switching and valve placement measures and instrumental measurements are stored in this module. They are directly linked to their asset and can be used for outage management, repairs or decommissioning and commissioning measures. In addition, they also serve as an important information source for asset evaluations in Lovion’s asset management solution.

Gas Pipeline Inspections (G 465)

Lovion CONTROL is a module specifically developed for gas pipeline inspections and is based on DVGW guidelines G465. These inspections are divided up into aerial districts. As a result, inspections for pipeline nodes and house connections are carried out individually for each district. They also contain recorded damages and defects. A further option is available to record the GPS track. Each documented point contains project-specific attributes such as the gas inspector, measuring device and location.

Tree Evaluations (GW 125)

In the rules and regulations of the DVGW GW 125 (M) it is recommended that all trees that lie within 2.50 meters of a pipeline should be recorded and documented as they can be a danger for utility pipelines. The distance between the tree and the pipeline plays a major role. Tree types that pose a greater risk even require to be documented if they lie within 5 meters of a pipeline.
